Thank You Emily!

Emily's salary is revised reaching up to RMX,XXX! Today, she decided to treat me, Hana and Wanee to buka puasa at Chilli's Empire!

Hana and Emily
I found it very nice of her to treat us for buka puasa. First of all, she is a Chinese! It is truly sweet of her to stay until 7.29pm to eat together with us. Second of all, we are unrelated to her. I am from the Finance Team-Malaysia Region, Wanee is from the Finance team-Consolidation while Hana is from the Business Development Team. And Emily...well...she is from the Corporate Secretarial!! Her position is actually quite at a high level. She is the Assistant Vice President II working under Miss Noor Zita. Emily has been my good friend since my first week in SDM. Despite her high position level, she always mixes with everybody regardless if you are an intern or just a personal assistant to boss. She treated everyone as equal =')

Today we ordered food like we never eat before.haha. Nafsu makan!

Emily's - Big Mouth Bites

Wanee's - Chicken Chipotle

Hana's - Beef Bacon Burger

Mine's - Mushroom Jack Fajitas

To end our savoury dishes, we ordered desserts which are Brownies Sundae and Molten Chocolate Cake.

During the dinner, we mostly talked about working experience. Emily had quite a lot of interesting experience to share with us. We listened and listened and listened. Honestly, its never boring listening to her word of wisdom.

The best part of our conversation was when we started to touch on religious issues. Emily showed her side of the story on Christianity while we shared a few bits of the Islamic views. Its nice to see how other religion thinks about Islam and at the same time we can tell how they felt about our religion. I do not want to comment on this. I believed that Emily is a very strong Christian believer and I really hope that one day, they will be a light for her to see Islam into more depth. InsyaAllah

Emily said to Hana: Kau nampak macam org arab. You punya mata and skin complexion mcm org arab.

Emily said to Wanee: Kau dgn aku nampak macam org Thailand. Same2 hitam
Ahahahaha!!

Emily said to me: Aku tatau ko nampak mcm org ape. Kau sgt putih.

Puasa Day 1

My first day of puasa was spent with my mom, dad and sister. The four of us went to SSF somewhere in between Puchong and Damansara to find wedding items. SSF has two outlet in that area. The first one was filled with small household items. While the second one focused more on furnitures. The items sold there were very interesting but the price were a bit too expensive compared to items in Nilai. We only bought dawai (70cents), a wiper cleaner, and 2 jugs. After the visit, we decided to go to Subang Parade because I remembered there was a bed and sofa show at the ground floor. I was in love with one particular bed in off white colour but the price was crazily expensive, RM4,500. My budget is only Rm3,000 (Bed and Mattress and Side Tables).

Later in the evening, my sister and I went to MyHannah Boutique near to Jakel to order veil. I ordered white chiffon in elbow length with white border lace and add some white and baby blue pearls. I am in love with my nikah veil! Can't wait to see the end result =)

For iftar, we cook nasi goreng, ayam goreng and cempedak goreng. Half an hour before breaking fast, my neighbour, Auntie Milah came to give us 5 pieces of ayam percik!! Fuhh.. In return, we gave her a plate of cempedak goreng.

What a day!

Earlier today, my fiance and I went to Kompleks PKNS to shop for wedding accessories.

We ate at Kyros Kebab for lunch.
Chicken Croissont Kebab

Garden Salad with Chicken Kebab

After lunch, we continued our journey hunting for accessories. While we were negotiating the price for the brooch, my Fiance received a bbm from my sister, "Tiza manaaa?". I immediately checked my phone and found 2 miscalls and a msg from my sister. I did not read the msg but I call her straight.

She was crying but I still can hear her voice clearly, "Tiza, Phillip dah mati".

And that marked the end of Phillip's journey on Earth.

I cried. I cried hard enough to make the sales girl worried. We excused ourselves from the shop and went straight home. When I saw him, I kissed his cheek. His body was so hard and solid. He had been showing the "sign" since yesterday. But I was always in denial and hoping that he would still survive. Yesterday, I found him often sticking his tounge out. I thought he wanted to drink but when I fed him, he did not swallow. Then, his body became hard and harder. That's when I realised that "it's almost time for him to go".

I am lucky to have my fiance by my side through Phillip's death. My father and my Fiance dig the hole for Phillip. He comforted me with words and seeing him around just make me felt so lucky to get married to him because he's always there when I needed him. Me, my sister and my mom were busy into tears. We seroiusly couldn't help ourselves. Phillip had been a part of this family for 5 years. He was the joy, he was the laughter. He was our little entertainer.

My sister came out with my old white tudung to cover Phillip body. In Islam, the act is consider as "Kapan".

After the funeral, I took a quick bath and we went to Plaza Alam Sentral to continue our shopping. I was keep having tears in my eyes. Luckily, my fiance was there to support me. What else can I asked for? Thank you sayang, for being such a wonderful companion. Later that evening, after such a hectic day, my fiance treated me to SS Popiah Ali.

Sister's Birthday - 10th May 2012

Well, it has become a tradition in my family to have a small food fiesta when it comes to birthday. For this year, instead of going out for a fancy meal in a restaurant, me and my mom decided to have a home-cook meal. Lets start with my sister's birthday shall we.

Our kitchen went western! and the foods were all yummeh!
Baked macaroni with tuna. Sis made this one. It looked messy but thank God it tasted good.haha

My mom's special Pizza

Every western foods need a taste of gravy! and a little bit of vege to balance our diet.

Homemade Australian Steak, my own specialty.

Another of my mom's special pizza.

Mom's Birthday - 6th June 2012

Now, for mom's birthday, I did the cooking all by myself! haha. because sis's busy studying for her last ACCA paper and mom..well, its her birthday! so she needs rest from cooking! but...she did help a little bit =P haha.oppss.

We celebrated mom's birthday one day early because on her actual birthday date, I already made other plans.

This time, let's have a little taste of Mexico!
Chicken fajitas to be wrap with tortilla bread.

Tomato Salsa sauce and some nachos
Ketam masak sambal merah kicap. okay fine this one is not a mexican food. but hey, one just can't go wrong with malay food right. =P and it goes so well with the tortilla bread.yummm.

Since my family is not really a cake person, I decided to make Chocolate Mousse for dessert. and I decorated them with chocolate, strawberry and a dash of milo!
