I am sorry for not updating my blog for the past 2 weeks. I know there are some of you who are eager to see updates but instead there was none. But have no worries, because I actually have lots to update!

KHATAM QURAN

14 September marked the day that I got married. Until today, it has been 17 days of marriage life and I am loving every single day of it. Honestly, the wedding preparation was so sakit kepala one. Even the night before my akad nikah I cried a lot. First was because my hand-made sireh junjung didn't turned out nicely. Even my mum called my aunt to order a set of sireh junjung! but it was so last minute that the person who make the sireh cannot cater to our order. My sister was so kesian at me that she took in charge and made the sireh junjung on her own. And luckily she got a sense of creativity and created a lovely sireh junjung. Thank you akak! I owe u one =) Secondly was because I haven't yet to finish reading the Quran for my Khatam ceremony the next morning. At 12 am I took wudhuk and sat at the pelamin practicing reading the Quran loudly. I didn't finish reading the whole Quran ='(. So, the Khatam Quran I dedicated to my previous khatam somewhere in February 2012 when I was in Mecca =)

And thirdly, my fiance at that time wrongly scheduled the photographer for my Khatam Quran! He scheduled the Khatam Quran on Saturday morning where in fact, it was on Friday morning. I was so mad at him for making such a mistake. I mean, we booked the photographer a few months before the wedding. And only a few hours before the event that he realized he booked the wrong date! I quickly sms-ed my videographer which is also my friend, Hasanul and begged him to cover for my photography for the Khatam Ceremony. Luckily, he said yes =) Alhamdulillah. After settled with all the three problems, I finally got to sleep. But my heart was still worried because the khemah and the PA system has not yet installed! And the clocked had strucked 1 am on September 14th!

I woke up early in the morning to practice the khatam again. This time, I recorded my reading and replayed it over and over again throughout the morning. By 9.30 am, the PA system and the khemah finally finished installed. After a while, Hasanul reached the house, and my relatives from kampung arrived. At 10 am, the ceremony began. I had been suffering from sore throat and cough for the past few weeks and thus, my voice were shaking bad. It was very difficult for me to reach the high harakat due to shorter breath and throat irritation. It was sad, but Alhamdulillah the Khatam went smoothly. After that, we took pictures and had lunch with the guests.

After the guests went home, we prepared the goodie bags for the akad nikah ceremony. Then after, I took a quick bath and performed my Zuhur prayer when suddenly Kak Lin (mak andam) called me and said she had arrived! Which means...........the akad nikah ceremony is nearing in a couple of hours!!
